Comelec launches updated online precinct finder for May elections

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) launched an updated online precinct finder at 4 a.m. on Wednesday, April 23, for the May 12 midterm elections.

Voters can check their polling place and status by visiting https://precinctfinder.comelec.gov.ph or https://voterverifier.comelec.gov.ph where they need to provide personal information such as full name and date of birth.

Comelec-Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) director Julius Torres urged the public to verify their assigned precincts through the online tool, emphasizing its speed and accuracy.

The platform now includes newly registered voters and has removed those with deactivated accounts, ensuring accurate voter information for the upcoming elections.

Voters may also visit local Comelec offices or check Voter Information Sheets (VIS) distributed door-to-door to confirm their registration status.

Comelec's website and online precinct finder are hosted by the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), following a hack in 2016.
