Comelec drafting voting guidelines for May polls

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) is drafting voting and election guidelines for the May 2022 polls in coordination with the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) to ensure safety amid the pandemic.

Comelec expects to release these guidelines by October 1, 2021, which will include rules on 'in-person' campaigning such as campaign rallies.

The poll body also reminded candidates that their Certificate of Candidacy must be filed personally or through an authorized representative with a sworn and signed authority.
