Comelec: Candidates must show negative COVID-19 test before COC filing

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) requires national candidates to present a negative RT-PCR or antigen COVID-19 test taken within 24 hours before filing their Certificates of Candidacy from October 1 to 8.

This applies to candidates for president, vice president, senator, and party-list positions.

Companions of the candidates, Comelec personnel, security staff, military/police officials, and media personnel must also present negative test results.
