Cloud cluster east of Mindanao may develop into LPA, bring rain in Sept

A cloud cluster east of Mindanao is likely to develop into a low-pressure area (LPA) within 24 hours and enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility, according to Pagasa.

Weather specialist Benison Estareja stated that this system could bring rainfall in the first days of September, particularly affecting Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

Zambales, Bataan, Occidental Mindoro, and Palawan are forecast to have scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the weak southwest monsoon or 'habagat'.

Metro Manila and other parts of the country will experience isolated rain showers or thunderstorms with light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas across the archipelago.

Pagasa continues to monitor the cloud cluster and has not raised any gale warnings for seaboards.
