Nearly 3,000 families still in evacuation centers in Rizal after Ulysses

As of Friday, November 13, nearly 3,000 families were still in evacuation centers in Rodriguez and San Mateo, Rizal, severely affected by Typhoon Ulysses.

Rodriguez DRRMO reported that residents who were trapped on roofs during the typhoon decided too late to evacuate, leading to their entrapment.

Over 13,000 individuals had been evacuated in total, with most evacuees coming from low-lying areas near creeks and rivers in Kasiglahan Village.

Dong Malonzo of Rizal Provincial DRRMO stated that some evacuees were allowed to return home on Thursday afternoon as weather conditions improved.
