Face-to-face classes suspended in some areas due to extreme heat

Face-to-face classes have been suspended in certain areas on Monday, May 20, 2024, due to extreme heat conditions.

Schools are advised to shift to asynchronous or alternative learning methods where necessary.

In Metro Manila and several provinces, specific schools and levels have been designated for suspension based on local directives and forecasts.

Caloocan City has suspended public school classes from kinder to senior high school, while Valenzuela City will automatically suspend all public and private face-to-face classes when the heat index reaches 42°C.

Angeles City, Iloilo City, Binmaley in Pangasinan, and Umingan in Pangasinan have also halted face-to-face classes across various levels due to the heat conditions.
