Classes suspended in areas hit by Tropical Storm Enteng

Classes remain suspended in public and private schools across Calabarzon, National Capital Region, Camarines Sur, Camarines Norte, parts of Albay, Pio Duran, and Jovellar due to Tropical Storm 'Enteng'.

Local government officials in Naga City, Camarines Norte, Lucena City, Cavite, and the Office of the Executive Secretary ordered class suspensions on Monday, September 2, with some areas extending suspensions through Tuesday, September 3.

The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council of Camarines Sur reported over 200 villages in 25 municipalities affected by flooding, with 1,000 families still in evacuation centers.

School personnel are given time to clean and restore flood-affected schools to ensure the safe return of students. Classes were suspended in Naga City as some schools needed cleaning up.

Camarines Norte Governor Ricarte Padilla extended class suspensions 'to ensure student safety amid ongoing threats from Enteng', while towns like Pio Duran and Jovellar in Albay suspended classes for school clearing and road rehabilitation due to landslides.
