China uses water cannons vs. PH boats at Ayungin Shoal

On August 5, Chinese Coast Guard vessels used water cannons and performed dangerous maneuvers against Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) boats escorting indigenous supply boats to Ayungin Shoal.

The Philippines condemned China's actions as illegal and a threat to regional peace and stability.

Videos released by the PCG show CCG vessels blocking paths and using water cannons, violating international law.
