PNP eases motorist restrictions but keeps MECQ checkpoints

The Philippine National Police (PNP) is easing restrictions on the movement of motorists and vehicles in NCR Plus, which was downgraded from ECQ to MECQ starting April 12.

However, checkpoints will remain operational and essential travelers will be allowed a higher percentage compared to non-essential ones.

PNP chief Gen. Debold Sinas urged police personnel to exercise flexibility in assessing traffic situations at checkpoints.
