Duterte extends ECQ in Metro Manila until April 11

Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte extended the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) in Metro Manila and nearby provinces until April 11.

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said that based on Health department recommendations, a strict lockdown for two weeks followed by one week of MECQ is likely, with daily cases expected to drop to around 4,000 by May 15 if PDITR strategies are effective.
