Adamson beats FEU 59-47 in men's basketball

Former FEU coach Nash Racela's Adamson Soaring Falcons defeated Sean Chambers' young Tamaraws in the Season 87 men's basketball tournament on Sunday, September 8, with a score of 59-47.

Royce Mantua led the game with 14 points and Matty Erolon contributed significantly with 10 points in just 11 minutes during Adamson's crucial endgame run.

Despite struggling in the first half, Adamson outscored FEU in the second half to secure their victory.

FEU's Jorick Bautista led his team with a game-high-tying 14 points, while rookie standout VJ Pre and ex-Tamaraws coach Nash Racela both commented on Chambers' unique coaching method involving placards for play calls.

Chambers explained that the placard system was designed to help players hear and understand plays in the loud environment of collegiate sports, though he acknowledged opponents might eventually memorize the signs.
