CEU kicks off WMPBL debut against Galeries Tower at 4 PM

Centro Escolar University (CEU) aims to kick off its Women's Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (WMPBL) debut strongly with a match against Galeries Tower at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 22, at the Ynares Sports Arena.

Former Gilas Pilipinas women’s sharpshooter and current CEU head coach Janine Pontejos leads her team into this game following their recent WNCAA championship victory.

CEU's roster includes key players like Jiyan Ferolino, Jessica Mahusay, and Dorie Montecalbo, who face off against the Galeries Skyrisers, coached by Ai Lebornio and featuring two-time UAAP MVP Analyn Almazan along with reinforcements from the UE Lady Warriors.

Meanwhile, in the 6:00 p.m. matchup at Ynares Sports Arena, the San Juan Lady Knights will clash with the Solar Home Suns.

The evening game features San Juan boasting a roster including Jhenn Angeles, Ara Abaca, LJ Miranda, and Annick Edimo Tiky, while Solar Home is led by Jollina Go and Pesky Pesquera.
