Cebu City issues QR-coded quarantine passes

Cebu City will issue QR-coded quarantine passes to residents amid a reversion to enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) due to rising COVID-19 cases.

The new passes, which began distribution on Friday, June 26, allow only one person per household to go out and purchase necessities such as food and medicines.

Residents with odd-numbered QR codes can use the pass every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, while those with even numbers can use it Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The city suspended quarantine passes on June 23 due to an increase in cases; however, new passes are now being issued under stricter guidelines to control movement and prevent further spread.
