POGO exec discharged, prepares for quad committee probe

Cassandra Li Ong has been discharged from the hospital and is now able to attend the quad committee's probe into Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs).

Ong was hospitalized last week due to low blood pressure during a previous House Quad Committee hearing.

The House of Representatives' medical director, Dr. Louie Bautista, assured that they are prepared to handle any further medical issues Ong may experience as she continues her appearances.

Currently under the custody of the House of Representatives following her deportation from Indonesia, where she was arrested alongside Shiela, believed to be a sister of dismissed Bamban mayor Alice Guo, Ong will serve out the remainder of her 30-day contempt sentence at the House detention facility.

Ong represents Lucky South 99, a formerly licensed POGO hub in Porac, Pampanga that faced raids for alleged illegal activities including torture, which she denies involvement with.
