UN, EU, Canada offer aid after Rolly

The United Nations, European Union, and Canada have offered assistance to the Philippines following the devastation caused by Super Typhoon Rolly on Sunday.

The EU Delegation in Manila expressed solidarity with Filipinos, especially those in the Bicol Region, which was hardest hit.

UN Resident Coordinator Gustavo Gonzalez confirmed that UN agencies and humanitarian NGOs are coordinating efforts with government departments and private sector groups to conduct rapid needs assessments and provide swift assistance to affected communities.

At least 10 deaths were reported in the Bicol Region, with over 390,000 individuals displaced.
