Bulacan builds quarantine facility for COVID-19 PUIs

Bulacan Governor Daniel Fernando ordered the construction of a central quarantine facility for persons under investigation (PUI) of COVID-19.

The facility, located near Bulacan Medical Center in Malolos, will start operations on April 6 to isolate PUIs and prevent further spread.

Fernando emphasized that isolating PUIs from homes is crucial to avoid an increase in cases if any turn positive.

Currently, there are 18 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 270 PUIs, and over 2,000 persons under monitoring in Bulacan.

Fernando also urged the Department of Health to allow regional testing centers for faster identification and management of PUIs.
