Bulacan guv: Benefits assured for rescue heroes' kin

Bulacan Governor Daniel Fernando assured Monday that the families of five rescuers who died while saving people from Super Typhoon Karding will receive all due benefits.

Fernando expressed grief over the deaths and praised the heroic efforts of the rescuers who were swept away by floodwaters during rescue operations.

The governor honored the veteran rescuers -- George Agustin, Troy Justin Agustin, Marby Bartolome, Jerson Resurreccion, Narciso Calayag -- for their dedication and sacrifice.
