Brownlee waives B sample test after positive doping result

Philippine Olympic Committee president Abraham Tolentino announced that Gilas player Justin Brownlee waived his right to test his B sample after testing positive for Carboxy-THC, a substance linked to cannabis use.

The International Testing Agency revealed the positive result on October 13, with Brownlee's deadline to request an analysis of his B sample expiring on Thursday, October 19.

Tolentino stated that the POC will await the final decision from the ITA before forwarding it to FIBA and SBP, while the Philippine Basketball Association remains in a 'wait and see' mode.
