Boracay waives swab test for vaxxed tourists starting Nov. 16

Starting November 16, fully vaccinated tourists will no longer need to submit a negative RT-PCR test result to enter Boracay Island.

Aklan Governor Florencio Miraflores announced the decision during an interview on Friday, stating that proof of vaccination with a QR code is sufficient for entry.

Tourists can present either a VaxCertPH digital certificate or a vaccination card issued by their local government unit bearing a QR code.

The Department of Tourism welcomed this move as part of efforts to revive tourism activities in Boracay.
