Palace: Duterte not campaigning despite recent comments

President Rodrigo Duterte was not engaging in political campaigning despite recent comments suggesting otherwise.

Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque stated on Friday that the government's focus remains on addressing the COVID-19 pandemic and implementing the vaccination program.

Roque clarified that when President Duterte referred to Senator Bong Go as 'president,' he was only joking, and Go has no immediate plans for a presidential bid.

The spokesperson emphasized that all cabinet members are mandated to support the vaccination drive rather than engage in political activities.
