Magnolia routs Rain or Shine 121-69 in PBA Governors' Cup

Magnolia defeated Rain or Shine 121-69 in Game 2 of their quarterfinals series in the PBA Governors' Cup on Friday at the Sta. Rosa Sports Complex.

Jabari Bird, Magnolia's new import player, made an immediate impact with 22 points and 13 rebounds in his debut game, helping the Hotshots take a commanding lead by halftime.

Coach Chito Victolero praised Bird for bringing positive energy to the team and credited local players like Calvin Abueva for their performance, as Magnolia drew level with Rain or Shine at 1-1 in their best-of-five quarterfinal series.

Rain or Shine's worst defeat in franchise history also came after import Aaron Fuller was poked in the eye by Ian Sangalang during the first quarter, raising concerns about his condition and potential impact on Game 3.

The loss marks Rain or Shine's sixth most lopsided game in PBA playoff history.
