Phivolcs: Taal could still erupt despite low probability

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) warned that Taal Volcano could still have a hazardous eruption any moment despite reports suggesting only a 30% probability.

Phivolcs Director Renato Solidum Jr emphasized that the 30% figure is fluid and changes based on daily data from the volcano, noting it was previously as high as 50-50.

Alert Level 4 remains in effect, with areas within a 14-kilometer radius of Taal still extremely vulnerable.
