Bicol solon urges IATF to resume provincial bus ops

Ako Bicol Representative Elizaldy Co has appealed to the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) and other government agencies to resume provincial bus operations in Luzon.

The appeal comes after Michelle Silvertino, a single mother who died while waiting for days at a footbridge in Pasay City for a bus back to Bicol.

Co urged the IATF, health, transportation, and interior departments, as well as local government units (LGUs), to create unified guidelines to facilitate the resumption of provincial bus services.

Without public transport, thousands of Filipinos, including overseas workers, are unable to return home, leading to depression and anxiety.
