2 Chinese POGO-linked nationals arrested in Benguet

Two Chinese nationals linked to a Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) were arrested in Tuba, Benguet on Saturday following an operation by the Bureau of Immigration and the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission.

The arrest came after intelligence from PAOCC indicated that a Chinese woman sought in connection with a raid in Bamban, Tarlac was likely to be found in the area, although she was not present during the operation.

Both suspects had immigration violations; one held a working visa but allegedly harbored an illegal alien, while the other lacked proper documentation.

The house where they were hiding is being investigated by authorities for its connection to former government officials and potential links to POGO activities.

Deportation proceedings are underway for both individuals as investigations continue into any pending cases against them in the Philippines.
