Roque admits interest in Tuba property where foreigners were arrested

Former Palace spokesman Harry Roque admitted on Monday that he had an interest in the corporation owning the property in Tuba, Benguet where two foreign nationals were arrested for visa violations.

Roque stated that since January 2024, his residence has been leased to a Chinese national named Huan Yun who holds a valid Alien Certificate of Registration and a 9G working visa.

The Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission will include Roque in its investigation into the presence of two foreigners at the raided house in Tuba, Benguet following remarks made by Usec. Gilbert Cruz during a congressional inquiry.

Senator Risa Hontiveros revealed that one of the arrested individuals was a wanted fugitive from China using a fake Cambodian passport.

Roque told the House committee that he did not know the persons who were arrested in the operation and confirmed his interest in the corporation that owns the property.
