BI implements shorter hours, reduced workforce for NCR offices during ECQ

The Bureau of Immigration (BI) announced shorter office hours and a reduced workforce for its NCR offices starting August 6 due to the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).

BI offices will operate from 8 AM to 4 PM, down from their usual 5 PM closing time.

A minimum of 30% but not more than 50% of BI's operational capacity will be maintained during this period.

Dine-in services at the BI main building in Intramuros will also be banned.

BI employees over 60, pregnant individuals, and those with comorbidities are advised to stay home.
