BARMM creates task force, drafts Covid-19 guidelines

The Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) has created an Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) against Covid-19, which met for the first time on Friday to draft guidelines.

Executive Secretary Abdulraof Macacua stated that these guidelines will be translated into local dialects and disseminated across the region.

The IATF's measures include providing accurate information about the current status of Covid-19 in BARMM and advising against misinformation, as the region remains free from the virus.

Health Minister Dr. Safrullah Dipatuan confirmed that they have partnered with DOH Region 10 for investigation and contact tracing of the first confirmed case in Mindanao.

Referral hospitals within BARMM are being equipped with dedicated wards for isolation and treatment of possible cases.
