Bangsamoro mufti suspends prayers until April 10

The Bangsamoro mufti has suspended Friday and congregational prayers in the Bangsamoro region until April 10 due to the coronavirus threat.

Sheikh Abuhuraira Abulrahman Udasan announced the three-week suspension on Thursday, March 19.

The decision was made by the Bangsamoro Darul Ifta, an Islamic advisory council with jurisdiction over the region.

Udasan emphasized that this is a temporary measure and they will reassess the situation after three weeks.
