BARMM sends more medical supplies to BaSulTa

The Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) is sending additional medical supplies and personal protective equipment to combat COVID-19 in Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi.

These supplies include PPE clothing, masks, face shields, gloves, alcohol, disinfection solutions, thermal scanners, and medicine.

The BARMM has also augmented medical supplies for referral hospitals in Cotabato, Marawi, and Lanao del Sur, and provided additional funding to rural health units.

In honor of World Health Day, the BARMM-IATF recognized doctors, nurses, and other front-line personnel for their dedication during the pandemic.

The region is also considering granting hazard pay to healthcare workers and enforcing laws to protect them from discrimination and harassment.
