Filipinos honor frontliners with cheers and songs

Filipinos honored frontliners in various communities on April 9 and 12.

In Eastwood City, residents and workers clapped hands, raised Philippine flags, and sang 'Heal the World' to recognize health workers fighting COVID-19.

Fire trucks wailed their sirens as security guards and residents held banners reading 'Stay Safe,' 'Salute to Our Frontliners,' and 'We Heal As One.'.

In Pasay City, condo residents cheered and applauded from their balconies to show gratitude to the health workers of Adventist Medical Center, bringing some to tears.

The Inter Agency Task Force urged the public to pay tribute to frontliners every 5 p.m. as they combat the virus.
