Cignal HD wins seventh Spikers' Turf title

Cignal HD secured its seventh Spikers' Turf Open Conference title and successfully defended its championship with a two-game sweep over Criss Cross on Friday at Rizal Memorial Coliseum.

Star player Bryan Bagunas, who was named Finals MVP, scored 22 points to lead Cignal to victory, emphasizing the significance of winning a championship in his home country.

Bagunas celebrated his first Spikers' Turf title with Cignal since returning from Taiwan, highlighting the growing popularity and importance of men's volleyball in the Philippines.

Jau Umandal contributed 18 points but was stretchered off the court due to an elbow injury sustained during a block play against Jude Garcia of Criss Cross.

Despite setbacks, Cignal's resilience and stellar performance ensured their well-deserved victory, affirming its status as the unrivaled powerhouse in men's volleyball.
