Baguio hospital stops admitting patients after 3 doctors test positive

Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) stopped accepting new patients on April 26 after three doctors tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the total number of infected healthcare workers in Baguio to eight.

On Sunday, four more medical frontliners from BGHMC tested positive, increasing the city's total cases to 29 with 12 being health care workers.

The new cases include a 61-year-old doctor and three nurses, all residents of barangays under lockdown for contact tracing and disinfection.

Mayor Benjamin Magalong declared Barangay Sto. Niño under lockdown and ordered appropriate measures such as medical intervention, contract tracing, quarantine, and disinfection to prevent further spread.
