Leonardia gets second vaccine dose to boost public confidence

Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia received his second dose of AstraZeneca vaccine on July 3 to encourage more residents to get vaccinated.

Leonardia, who belongs to priority group A1 as a local chief executive and frontline health worker, hopes his vaccination will boost public confidence in the vaccine.

As of July 4, Bacolod has recorded 13,481 Covid-19 cases with 1,973 active cases, 11,191 recoveries, and 317 deaths.

The city government has administered nearly 65,000 doses of vaccines as of June 30, including 43,223 Sinovac's CoronaVac and 21,290 AstraZeneca doses.
