UP men's football team advances to Final 4 with 4-0 win over Ateneo

The University of the Philippines men's football team secured their place in the UAAP Season 86 men's football Final 4 with a convincing 4-0 victory over Ateneo de Manila University on Thursday.

Ramil Bation III scored two goals, while Cian Galsim and Jan Ceena Donato also contributed to UP's winning effort at the UP Football Stadium.

With 21 points, UP joins defending champion Far Eastern University (FEU) with 22 points in the Final Four standings, marking an improvement from last year’s fifth-place finish.

Ateneo de Manila University got their Final Four hopes back on track by overcoming Adamson University, 3-0, on Sunday at the UP Diliman Football Stadium, snapping a three-game losing streak and rising to fourth place with 17 points.

The Blue Eagles’ victory now puts them ahead of archrivals De La Salle Green Booters in the standings, setting up an important final match against FEU on May 2.
