Gordon flags high prices of airport COVID tests

Senator Richard Gordon flagged the high prices of COVID-19 tests in airports on Tuesday.

Gordon said some testing facilities at airports were charging up to P20,000 for faster test results, targeting OFWs, dual citizens, and foreigners.

He added that these charges are likely due to commissions taken by certain entities.

On Sunday, Gordon told Dobol B sa News TV that the Philippine Red Cross had set up testing booths at airports after receiving complaints from passengers about excessive fees.

Gordon noted that some facilities were charging P10,000 for a test and up to P20,000 for faster results.
