Archbishop Brown thanks Filipinos for prayers after Pope Francis's death

Archbishop Charles Brown, Papal Nuncio to the Philippines, expressed gratitude on Tuesday for Filipinos' prayers following Pope Francis's death at age 88.

Brown acknowledged the Filipino faithful’s support through Masses celebrated across the country over the past two months as Francis was seriously ill.

He highlighted how the outpouring of spiritual support contributed to Francis's recovery earlier this year, allowing him to attend Easter Sunday services in St. Peter's Square before his passing.

At a Requiem Mass for Pope Francis at Manila Cathedral, Brown thanked Cardinal Jose Advincula for presiding and praised his homily as reflecting everyone’s sentiments during mourning.

The archbishop urged Filipinos to continue praying for the eternal repose of Pope Francis.
