Ang files complaints against whistleblowers for tarnishing reputation

Businessman Charlie 'Atong' Ang filed formal complaints against whistleblowers Julie 'Dondon' Patidongan and Alan Bantiles on Thursday for tarnishing his reputation and falsely implicating him in the disappearance and alleged killing of cockfight enthusiasts.

Ang's camp claims that Patidongan, who was formerly his farm manager, made false accusations about Ang being behind the abduction and killing of over 100 sabungeros caught cheating in online cockfighting.

In his complaint affidavit, Ang stated that Patidongan had planned a scheme to kidnap him for ransom and rob his assets, which he learned from security personnel who refused to participate.

Patidongan appeared on television implicating Ang as the mastermind behind the 'missing sabungeros' case despite lack of credible evidence.

Ang urged the public to refrain from spreading misinformation and reaffirmed his willingness to cooperate fully with the government in the investigation.
