PAGASA forecasts amihan, easterlies bring rain, thunderstorms in parts of PH

PAGASA reported that multiple weather systems including amihan and easterlies will continue to affect parts of the country on Friday, causing cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms in specific regions.

The Northeast Monsoon (amihan) will impact Northern and Central Luzon, bringing cloudy skies over Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, and Quezon, where flash floods or landslides could occur due to moderate to heavy rains.

Metro Manila, Rizal, Ilocos Region, and the rest of Central Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains, while the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to easterlies.

Strong winds and rough waters may be observed in Northern Luzon, Southern Luzon, and the eastern sections of Central Luzon and Visayas, while moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough seas will affect the eastern section of Mindanao and the rest of Luzon.
