Imee Marcos remains in Bongbong's senatorial slate for midterms

Reelectionist Senator Imee Marcos will remain on her brother President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr.'s senatorial slate for the midterm elections.

Despite previously distancing herself from her brother's alliance, known as Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas (Alliance for New Philippines), Imee has confirmed her participation in the campaign.

Navotas Representative Toby Tiangco, the campaign manager, assured reporters on February 8 that there are no plans to replace Senator Marcos and she is part of the candidate list.

Tiangco expects all members of the slate to be present during the campaign kickoff on February 11 in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte, though he could not confirm if Imee will attend.

The president's slate is set to launch their campaign with 21 rallies scheduled over a 90-day period, leaving room for candidates to mount individual campaigns as needed.
