Alex Eala returns home, inspires young players

Filipino tennis star Alex Eala returned home for a short break after her historic Wimbledon appearance.

On Sunday, July 13, Eala attended the opening of the PHINMA International Junior Tennis Championship in Makati to inspire young players with her journey and visited her alma mater, Colegio San Agustin Makati, where she met school administrators and former teachers.

Eala's visit left a lasting impact, as evidenced by the renewed motivation and smiles it brought to those involved.

After Wimbledon, Eala will prepare for the upcoming hardcourt season, starting with the 2025 National Bank Open (formerly known as the Canadian Open) from July 27 to August 8 in Montreal, Canada.

Eala is expected to secure automatic entry into the tournament's main draw due to her world No. 56 ranking and will face strong competition including Leylah Fernandez, Coco Gauff, Jessica Pegula, and Iga Swiatek.
