Alex Eala advances to Eastbourne Open Round of 16, enters Wimbledon main draw

Filipina tennis player Alex Eala has been included in the entry list for the 2025 Wimbledon Championships and advanced to the main draw of the Eastbourne Open after defeating Hailey Baptiste on Sunday.

Ranked 72nd by the WTA, Eala continued her winning streak at the Eastbourne Open with a dominant performance against Lucia Bronzetti of Italy, securing a 6-0, 6-1 victory in the Round of 32 on Monday night (Manila time).

Eala's momentum from her previous qualifying rounds and main draw entry is carrying over as she advances to compete in the Round of 16 on Wednesday.

Despite being ranked 72nd by the WTA, Eala continues to build significant momentum ahead of her main draw appearance at Wimbledon from June 30 to July 13.
