Tropical Storm Kristine displaces 17,095 in Albay

As Tropical Storm Kristine brings heavy rainfall to Albay, 17,095 individuals from several towns and cities have been moved to evacuation centers.

APSEMO acting chief Dante Baclao stated that the downpour is unprecedented, causing rivers to overflow and prompting the expectation of more evacuees as reports are consolidated.

Disaster response units in the province are struggling to reach some flooded areas due to high floodwater levels.

PRO 5 Director Andre Dizon announced plans to request additional search and rescue equipment from neighboring regions to support ongoing operations.

PAGASA reported that Tropical Storm Kristine was located 310 km east of Baler, Aurora, with TCWS No. 2 raised in several areas including Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Albay, and parts of Sorsogon.
