Alas Pilipinas beats Iran 3-0 to advance to AVC Challenge Cup semis

The Philippine women's national volleyball team, Alas Pilipinas, secured a victory over Iran with scores of 25-16, 25-13, 25-15 on Saturday at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum to clinch their spot in the AVC Challenge Cup semifinals.

The win marks the third consecutive triumph for Alas Pilipinas after defeating Australia and India earlier in the tournament.

Angel Canino led the team with 16 points, while Sisi Rondina earned Best Player of the Game honors with 12 markers.

Head coach Jorge Souza De Brito praised his players' quick adjustments during the match, noting the crucial role played by fan support.

Both Laure and Canino highlighted teamwork as a key factor in their success despite the team's short formation period.
