Rep Bongalon says House 90-95% prepared for VP Duterte's impeachment trial

Ako Bicol party-list Rep. Raul Angelo Bongalon stated on Thursday that the House of Representatives has completed 90-95% of its preparations for the impeachment trial against Vice President Sara Duterte.

Bongalon confirmed they have gathered testimonial and documentary evidence, as well as a list of potential witnesses, but did not disclose specific names. He expressed optimism that if the Senate starts the trial in March, it could be concluded before the end of the 19th Congress.

Despite calls for an earlier start to the impeachment proceedings, there is uncertainty about whether the current Senate can initiate them before its term ends, potentially affecting continuity.
