Akari Chargers win bronze with all-Filipino roster

The Akari Chargers secured a bronze medal in the 2024-25 All-Filipino tournament of the Premier Volleyball League, marking their best finish and solidifying their status as one of the league's successful programs.

Coach Taka Minowa acknowledged that this year's success was achieved with an all-Filipino roster, emphasizing the team's fighting spirit and resolve.

The Chargers defeated Choco Mucho in a 2-1 series, winning the final match in straight sets on Saturday at PhilSports Arena in Pasig City, becoming the lowest-seeded team to reach the podium in seven years.

Akari star Ivy Lacsina expressed that while their goal is to make it to the podium, they aim even higher for a gold medal victory in future tournaments.

The team intends to take a brief break before returning to training with an eye on improving and reaching new heights in upcoming competitions.
