CAB suspends PH-Wuhan flights indefinitely

The Civil Aeronautics Board suspended all airline operations between Wuhan, China, and the Philippines indefinitely as a precaution against the novel coronavirus.

Exceptions were made for Royal Air Charter Services and Pan Pacific Air flights on January 24 and 27 to ferry passengers back from Wuhan.

CAB also ordered airlines to monitor other cities susceptible to virus spread and get health declaration checklists from Bureau of Quarantine for flights coming directly or connecting from China.

Transportation hubs have implemented safety measures as DOTr Secretary Arthur Tugade urged vigilance at all ports of entry, especially Kalibo International Airport with direct flights from Wuhan.
