44 AFP personnel infected with COVID-19

As of Wednesday, May 20, 44 AFP personnel have tested positive for COVID-19, with seven active cases still hospitalized.

Brigadier General Edgard Arevalo stated that 34 infected personnel have recovered and are awaiting clearance to return to work.

On Monday, the AFP officially opened a 100-bed Rizal Memorial Coliseum facility in Manila to house suspected COVID-19 patients.

An emergency medical team from the AFP Health Service Command will manage the facility, consisting of four military doctors, nine nurses, and 17 medical aides.
