PNP COVID cases rise to 250

As of Tuesday, May 19, the number of Philippine National Police (PNP) personnel infected with COVID-19 rose to 250.

The death toll remained at four while recoveries increased to 69.

Additionally, there were 754 probable cases and 538 suspected cases.

Earlier, PNP chief Archie Gamboa stated that there was no need for a lockdown at Camp Crame despite the rising number of infections.

Isolation facilities such as Kiangan Billeting Center are available for infected personnel.

The PNP also sought approval to develop an RT-PCR testing laboratory to enhance health and safety measures.
