Adamson University sweeps weekend with softball, baseball wins

Adamson University secured two impressive victories this weekend, first defeating the University of the Philippines 3-2 in softball and then stunning Ateneo de Manila University with a come-from-behind win, 9-8, in baseball on Sunday night.

In their final game of the first round against Ateneo, Adamson rallied to tie the score at 2-3 before winning the match due to an error by Ateneo's defense in the final inning.

Coach Ana Santiago emphasized mental preparation for her softball team during pre-game talks, while baseball coach Lando Binarao praised his pitcher’s hold and the timely hit from Keano Reyes that set up Adamson's comeback.

Despite trailing 8-3 in the sixth inning, Adamson capitalized on seven errors by Ateneo, including a critical fumble at home plate in the final play.

Adamson now holds a strong record after securing their third consecutive victory against De La Salle University with a four-run second inning performance and their latest win over Ateneo.
