Adamson student who died in hazing laid to rest

John Matthew Salilig, an Adamson University student who died allegedly due to hazing by the Tau Gamma Phi fraternity, was laid to rest in Zamboanga City on Saturday.

Salilig's family and friends wore black shirts with 'Crying for Justice for Matt' during his funeral mass at Metropolitan Immaculate Concepcion Cathedral.

A person of interest implicated in Salilig's death has also been confirmed dead by hanging, according to Laguna Police Director Col. Randy Glen Silvio.

This person of interest died on February 28, the same day Salilig’s body was found in a shallow grave in Cavite.
